Nashville – Actor Michael J. Fox brought a touch of western flair to Music City for his foundation’s annual Parkinson’s disease fundraiser. The “A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s” event, now in its third year, was held at Nashville’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts.
Fox, sporting a camel-colored jacket, patterned shirt, and cowboy boots, shared photos on social media from the star-studded evening. Celebrities in attendance included musicians Kelsea Ballerini, Chase Stokes, Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow, and members of Little Big Town, as well as comedian Dusty Slay.
“One hell of a night in Nashville,” Fox posted, expressing gratitude for the community’s support and calling the event “one for the books.” He added, “Every year, this night reminds me just how much heart this community has.
Grateful and hopeful as ever. See you next year.”
The Michael J. Fox Foundation focuses on improving the understanding of Parkinson’s disease, developing an objective diagnostic test, involving patients in research, and supporting the development of new treatments and ultimately, a cure.
