Resurfaced claims from a royal biographer have ignited a firestorm of speculation around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s early relationship. Angela Levin, author of Harry: Conversations with the Prince, alleges that the Duke of Sussex had a brief fling with a Burberry model shortly after he began dating Meghan Markle in the summer of 2016.
Levin’s book, published in 2018, details Prince Harry’s life and royal duties in the mid-2010s. The recently resurfaced excerpt claims Harry met the model, Sarah Ann Jacklin, at a private party, exchanged numbers, and then “bombarded her with texts.”
Levin cites insider sources for this information. One source, described as a friend of the prince, reportedly told Levin that while Harry and Jacklin got along, they were ultimately “quite different.”
The source went on to describe Jacklin as “clean-living” and noted that “Harry was a bit noncommittal.”
While Jacklin has remained out of the public eye, the resurfaced claims paint a picture of a wavering Harry during his early courtship of Meghan Markle. This narrative contrasts sharply with the couple’s public image of a rock-solid relationship.
