Rock legend Mick Jones, founding member and guitarist of Foreigner, has teamed up with actor Michael J. Fox to release a powerful new single titled “Shelter From the Storm.” The song, an anthem of hope and resilience, aims to provide comfort and support during challenging times.

“Shelter From the Storm” will be officially unveiled on April 26th at the annual Parkinson’s Unity Walk in New York City’s Central Park, hosted by the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

In a statement, Jones expressed his gratitude for Fox’s involvement, stating, “I am honored that my friend Michael J. Fox has chosen to unveil ‘Shelter from the Storm’ at the Unity Walk this year. Michael’s tireless efforts to raise awareness and funding for Parkinson’s research are truly inspiring, and I am eager to support him in any way I can.”

Jones himself revealed his own twelve-year battle with Parkinson’s disease in 2024. The diagnosis eventually led him to step back from touring with Foreigner, despite the band’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. The disease has impacted his ability to play the guitar.

Jones plans to participate in the Parkinson’s Unity Walk and encourages fans to contribute to the Michael J. Fox Foundation through his “Shelter From the Storm” team.

While the single’s official release date is May 23rd, the music video for “Shelter From the Storm” is currently available for viewing.
