Pop superstar Katy Perry has announced the cancellation of two upcoming tour dates in Guadalajara, Mexico, citing incomplete construction and safety concerns at the Arena Guadalajara. The shows, originally scheduled for May 1st and 2nd, were part of Perry’s “Lifetimes” tour, kicking off on April 23rd in Mexico City.
In a message to fans via social media, a disappointed Perry explained that despite sending representatives to assess the venue and explore potential solutions, it became clear the arena would not be ready in time. “The venue was not ready or safe to receive my show or an audience,” she stated, adding that the situation was beyond her control. Perry expressed her regret and assured Guadalajara fans that she is exploring options to create a special experience for them in the future.
Other artists, including Carlos Rivera and Intocable, have also cancelled performances at the Arena Guadalajara due to the ongoing construction delays.
