Bieber Fights Back Against Online Rumors

Additional Coverage:

Pop star Justin Bieber recently took to Instagram to address the ongoing swirl of online speculation surrounding his mental health and personal life. The singer, who has been subject to intense scrutiny since his rise to fame as a teenager, pushed back against what he called “gossip” and “lies.”

Bieber acknowledged his own flaws, writing, “They treat me like… out here, but if I remember that I am flawed too and god forgave me, It helps me to stop feeling better than those people who are mean and hurtful. Because when I’m really honest I can be mean and hurtful too.”

The online chatter intensified recently after videos of Bieber smoking at Coachella surfaced. Fans also scrutinized a series of cryptic social media posts, leading to unsubstantiated rumors about potential substance use or mental health struggles. Bieber also shared more positive content from the festival, including enjoying a performance and spending time with friends.

This isn’t the first time Bieber’s team has addressed the online speculation. In February, a representative for the singer described the persistent rumors as “exhausting and pitiful.”

The singer’s post also seemed to reference the constant online comparisons between his wife, Hailey Bieber, and his former girlfriend, Selena Gomez. He wrote, “And honestly if I was u it would be hard not to be jealous if I saw me and Hailey going so brazzzzyy.

It’s really up for us and that’s understandable why people can’t stand it. I don’t blame em.”

Hailey Bieber has previously spoken out about the negativity she faces online, describing social media as a “breeding ground for cruelty.” She has shared the pain of being constantly compared to others and the toll it takes on her mental well-being.

The couple married in 2018 and welcomed their first child last year.
