Lar Park Lincoln, known for her roles on “Knots Landing” and in “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood,” has died at the age of 63. Her passing was announced Thursday by her Actors Audition Studios. While the announcement did not specify the place or cause of death, it celebrated Lincoln’s 45-year career and “unforgettable mark on Hollywood.”
Dallas-born Lincoln captivated audiences as the scheming Linda Fairgate on “Knots Landing” from 1987 to 1991. Her character met a dramatic end in Season 13. Lincoln also appeared in several other roles on the popular CBS drama, sharing the screen with stars like William Devane and Kevin Dobson.
Horror fans remember Lincoln as Tina Shepard, the telekinetic teen who inadvertently resurrected Jason Voorhees in “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood” (1988). She reprised the role in the 2021 fan film “Rose Blood.”
Lincoln’s career spanned television and film, with appearances in series such as “Outlaws,” “Highway to Heaven,” “Beverly Hills, 90210,” and “Murder, She Wrote.” Her film credits include “The Princess Academy,” “From the Dark,” “Autumn Road,” and her final role in the 2022 movie “Ghost Party.”
Beyond acting, Lincoln was an entrepreneur, selling her clothing line on QVC. She also founded Actors Audition Studios in her home state of Texas, where she mentored aspiring actors.
Her 2008 book, “Get Started, Not Scammed,” offered guidance to those navigating the entertainment industry. Lincoln was passionate about helping others achieve their dreams, as evidenced by her studio’s success in placing talent with major networks and studios.
Born Laurie Park Lincoln on May 12, 1961, she was married to Michael Martin Lincoln until his passing in 1995. She is survived by her daughter Piper, son Trevor, siblings Karen and Michael, and four grandchildren. The family suggests donations be made to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation or the Entertainment Community Fund.
