JoJo Siwa’s ex, Kath Ebbs, has spoken out following a very public breakup, claiming Siwa ended their relationship at the Celebrity Big Brother after-party. Ebbs posted a video on Instagram alleging Siwa “love-bombed” them early in the relationship, even proposing marriage, only to then leave Ebbs feeling humiliated by Siwa’s flirtation with housemate Chris Hughes.
In the video, Ebbs described feeling shocked and disoriented, saying they felt compelled to speak out after two weeks of watching the situation unfold without explanation from Siwa. Ebbs referred to the early days of their relationship with Siwa, which Siwa confirmed in January, saying they were told they were the “love of someone’s life” and were even proposed to before Siwa entered the Big Brother house.
Ebbs expressed hurt at witnessing Siwa and Hughes’s affectionate interactions on the show and had hoped to discuss their feelings with Siwa privately. However, Ebbs says they were dumped by Siwa at the after-party, being told Siwa had developed confused feelings and realized during the show that Ebbs wasn’t the person they wanted to be with.
Siwa and Hughes’s flirtatious behavior was a major storyline on Celebrity Big Brother, fueling romance rumors throughout the season. During the show, Siwa also stated she no longer identifies as a lesbian, preferring the term “queer” to describe her sexuality. She also commented on the show that she didn’t think Ebbs would mind her closeness with Hughes.
