Country music legend Toby Keith may be gone, but his legacy lives on, even at the Kentucky Derby. Fifteen months after his passing, one of Keith’s dreams is coming true: his horse, Render Judgement, will be running in the Derby on May 3rd.
The announcement came from Keith’s official social media accounts, sharing the news with his devoted fans. “It was Toby’s dream,” the post read, expressing the late singer’s long-held desire to have a horse compete in the prestigious race. The post went on to say Keith would have “the best seat in the house” to watch.
Fans responded with an outpouring of support, promising to cheer Render Judgement on and expressing their certainty that Keith would be smiling down on the event. Several fans even declared Render Judgement their pick to win. The Kentucky Derby is scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd, 2025.
