Former TODAY show co-host Hoda Kotb has announced a new venture launching at the end of May. The news comes just days after her former co-host, Jenna Bush Hager, also announced a career move. Kotb shared her exciting news via Instagram, expressing that her “heart is full” three months after departing NBC.

In a video recorded at home, Kotb told her followers, “Okay guys, I just woke up and looked at the calendar and guess what it said? It said April 28th, and then it hit me… one month from today I’m gonna launch my new venture.”

Clearly enthusiastic, she added, “I’m so excited and I just wanted to tell you, I’m bursting and I can’t wait to share it with you and I’ll give you more details later, annnnnnd I need to get my roots done! It’s all happening, one month from today.”

Fans flooded the comments section with excitement and well wishes, eager to learn about Kotb’s next chapter. Many expressed how much they missed seeing her on the morning show.

Kotb’s departure from the TODAY show after 26 years with NBC was announced in September 2024. During her time on the show, she interviewed numerous high-profile figures, including Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Kim Kardashian, Will Smith, Simone Biles, and Jennifer Lopez.

Kotb cited a desire to pursue new opportunities and focus on her two adopted daughters, Haley and Hope, as reasons for leaving the network. She explained that having children “late in life,” she wants to dedicate more time to them.
