Zendaya’s Latest Spacesuit-Inspired Sportswear Campaign for On Divides Fans
Actress Zendaya’s foray into the cosmos for Swiss running brand On has landed with a mixed reception. The “Zone Dreamers” campaign, a futuristic film trailer directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and styled by Law Roach, features Zendaya as a space-traveling heroine.
The campaign showcases custom-designed astronaut-style suits alongside more traditional sportswear pieces like crop tops, leggings, and bodysuits. Zendaya’s athleticism is on full display, with shots of her boxing and striking dynamic poses, all while sporting a sharp pixie cut and, at times, Star Trek-esque earpieces.
However, the space-age concept hasn’t quite taken off with everyone. Fans on social media expressed mixed reactions, with some criticizing the campaign’s over-the-top aesthetic and the styling of the sportswear.
While some praised the “camp” feel, others found the clothes “boring” and Zendaya’s typically dynamic expressions lacking. The pixie-cut wig also drew considerable criticism.
This isn’t the first time Zendaya’s fashion campaigns have sparked online debate. A recent Louis Vuitton campaign featuring the actress also faced scrutiny for its alleged Photoshop work. Despite the occasional controversy, Zendaya remains a highly sought-after figure in the fashion world, and her campaigns continue to generate buzz.
