FS1 Host Joy Taylor Gets Candid About Dating and More
Joy Taylor isn’t holding back. The FS1 host, recently flying solo on the relaunched “Two Personal Show” podcast after her former co-host Taylor Rooks stepped down, has been open about a variety of topics, from her dating preferences to her personal life.
In a recent appearance on “The Truth After Dark” with Azar Farideh and former NBA star Paul Pierce, Taylor discussed her dating dealbreakers. The 38-year-old stated she avoids dating religious men, explaining that while she respects individual beliefs, leading with religion is a “red flag.”
She also mentioned her age preference, drawing a surprised reaction from Pierce when she revealed she wouldn’t date anyone younger than 25. Taylor defended her stance, emphasizing that 25-year-olds are grown men.
This echoes sentiments she shared last year on her own podcast about seeking partners with healthy female friendships and avoiding those who categorize women.
Taylor’s podcast has already generated buzz. The first episode with Life Coach Dr.
Cheyenne Bryant featured both women frankly discussing their libidos. Subsequent episodes have included rapper Symba, tackling ego and “insanity,” and comedian Violet Benson, with whom Taylor discussed celibacy.
Taylor’s willingness to discuss typically taboo subjects, both on her podcast and in other interviews, sets her apart. While known for her sports commentary, she’s clearly comfortable navigating personal and sometimes controversial topics.
