Piers Morgan Renews Criticism of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Outspoken media personality Piers Morgan has once again taken aim at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, particularly criticizing the Duchess of Sussex for continuing to use her royal title. During a recent appearance on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast, Morgan expressed his desire to interview the couple, outlining a series of pointed questions he would ask regarding their claims of racism within the royal family.
Morgan stated he wants to press the couple on allegations made during their interview with Oprah Winfrey, specifically the claim that a member of the royal family expressed concerns about the skin color of their unborn child. He also questioned the couple’s assertion that Meghan was denied help for suicidal thoughts. Morgan called these claims “shocking” and “horrific,” suggesting that if true, they warrant the dissolution of the monarchy.
The former Good Morning Britain host further highlighted the omission of these allegations from Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare. He noted that Harry later dismissed the racism claims as a “media invention,” leading Morgan to question the veracity of the couple’s original statements. He accused the pair of “weaponizing race and mental health for personal gain.”
Morgan also criticized the couple for continuing to use their royal titles for profit after stepping down from royal duties. He called their actions “sickening,” particularly in light of the health struggles faced by King Charles and the late Queen Elizabeth II. While acknowledging differing opinions, Morgan reiterated his belief that the couple’s behavior has been detrimental to the royal family.
Finally, Morgan addressed Prince Harry’s complaints about media intrusion into the royal family’s privacy. He argued that Harry himself has been the biggest perpetrator of such intrusions, citing the revelations in his memoir and subsequent interviews as evidence. Morgan contended that Harry’s actions, not the media’s, have fractured his relationships within the royal family.
