Additional Coverage:

Comedian Adam Sandler recently bid a humorous farewell to Morris, the alligator who co-starred with him in the 1996 hit comedy Happy Gilmore. Morris, a resident of the Colorado Gator Farm, recently passed away.

Sandler’s Instagram tribute was both touching and funny. He recalled Morris’s sometimes difficult demeanor on set, joking that the alligator was “hard on directors, make-up artists, costumers – really anyone with arms or legs.”

He also shared a heartwarming anecdote about sharing a candy bar with the reptile. “I will never forget at craft service that time when we split the Three Musketeers bar and you let me have the bigger half,” Sandler wrote.

The Colorado Gator Farm announced Morris’s passing on May 12th, estimating his age at over 80 years old. The farm noted Morris’s long and successful film career, including roles in *Dr.

Doolittle 2* and Interview with the Vampire, before his retirement in 2006. In a later post, the farm announced their plans to have Morris taxidermied, stating, “It’s what he would have wanted.”
