Whoopi Goldberg returned to The View on May 15th after a brief absence due to a cold. “Have a cold, and it’s kicking my behind,” she told the audience, adding that while it wasn’t making her cranky, it was affecting her usual comedic flair.
Co-host Joy Behar had informed viewers of Goldberg’s “little bug” the previous day, assuring everyone it wasn’t COVID-19. Goldberg, 69, has had several absences from the show over the years, including previous bouts with COVID-19 in 2024 and 2023.
She is not expected to appear on the May 16th episode, as it is her scheduled day off.
