Palm Springs Fertility Clinic Rocked by Deadly Car Bomb

A deadly car explosion at a Palm Springs fertility clinic has been declared an “intentional act of violence” by authorities, sparking a federal investigation. The blast, which occurred Saturday morning, claimed one life and significantly damaged the American Reproductive Centers clinic.

US Attorney General Pam Bondi condemned the attack, stating on X, “Violence against a fertility clinic is unforgivable,” and emphasizing the administration’s support for women and mothers. Federal agents are working alongside local law enforcement to investigate the incident.

Palm Springs Police Chief Andy Mills confirmed the intentional nature of the explosion, noting damage to several surrounding buildings. The identity of the deceased remains unknown, and the connection to the blast is currently unclear.

Lt. William Hutchinson acknowledged that investigators are exploring all avenues, including the possibility of terrorism.

The FBI has deployed bomb technicians to the scene.

The area around North Indian Canyon Drive remains closed as the investigation continues. Images from the scene depict a burned-out vehicle in the clinic’s parking lot and smoke rising from the damaged building.

Preliminary reports suggest the clinic’s office space suffered the brunt of the damage, while the IVF lab and stored embryos were spared. Dr.

Maher Abdallah, the clinic’s director, confirmed the safety of his staff and expressed his bewilderment, noting the fortunate absence of patients on the day of the attack.
