Walmart Hit By String of Recalls

Walmart, a long-time provider of affordable goods, has faced several product recalls in recent months, impacting its reputation with some shoppers. Since March 2025, four separate food product recalls have been issued, prompting concern among consumers. The recalled items range from baked beans to frozen meals, highlighting the importance of checking product information before consumption.

Baked Bean Recall Due to Undeclared Soy

Vietti Food Group of Nashville, Tennessee, recalled approximately 4,515 cases of Yellowstone Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans (15 ounce) on May 2nd. The recall was initiated due to the presence of undeclared soy, posing a risk to individuals with soy allergies. While no illnesses have been reported to date, consumers are urged to return the product to Walmart for a full refund.

Tortilla Chip Recall Due to Undeclared Milk

Frito-Lay recalled 13-ounce bags of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips on March 26th due to the potential presence of nacho cheese tortilla chips containing undeclared milk. This poses a health risk to those with dairy allergies.

Consumers can identify the recalled product by the UPC Code 28400 52848 and a “guaranteed fresh” date of May 2025. Affected bags can be returned for a full refund.

Celery Sticks Recalled Over Listeria Concerns

Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. recalled approximately 1,587 cases of packaged celery sticks in April due to potential Listeria contamination. The recalled product, containing four celery sticks per bag and bearing UPC 6 81131 16151 0, was distributed across multiple states.

Listeria can cause listeriosis, a serious infection particularly dangerous for vulnerable populations. Consumers are advised to return the product to Walmart.

Frozen Meal Recall Due to Foreign Material

NestlĂ© USA recalled select Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s frozen meals on March 17th after reports of wood-like material found in the products, including one potential choking incident. The recall affects Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry, Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, and Stouffer’s Party Size Chicken Lasagna produced between September 2024 and March 2025. Consumers should return affected products to the retailer for a full refund or replacement.
