Diddy Accused of Kidnapping by Former Assistant

Additional Coverage:

Sean “Diddy” Combs’s former assistant, Capricorn Clark, delivered emotional testimony in a Manhattan courtroom on Tuesday, alleging that Combs kidnapped her at gunpoint and threatened her life. Clark’s testimony is a key part of Combs’s ongoing sex-trafficking and racketeering trial.

The incident reportedly stemmed from Combs’s anger over Clark withholding information about Cassie Ventura’s 2011 relationship with rapper Kid Cudi. Ventura, a key witness for the prosecution, and Combs had an on-and-off relationship for a decade.

Clark testified that in December 2011, a furious and armed Combs arrived at her home, banging on the door and demanding she accompany him. She stated he said, “Get dressed, we’re going to go kill” him, using a racial slur to refer to Cudi.

Clark described the experience as being kidnapped, fearing for her safety due to Combs’s demeanor. She tearfully recounted being taken to Cudi’s Los Angeles residence.

This account aligns with Cudi’s testimony last week, where he detailed Combs breaking into his home after learning about his relationship with Ventura. Cudi recalled Clark contacting him from outside his home, informing him that Combs had forced her to drive there.

Clark further testified that Combs instructed her to tell Cudi not to report the incident to the police, threatening to “kill all you motherfuckers” if she didn’t comply. Despite the threat, Cudi reported the break-in to authorities.

Clark also testified that Combs repeatedly questioned her about her knowledge of Ventura and Cudi’s relationship, making threats against both women. She quoted Combs as saying, “I should just kill you bitches and I should cut her face.” The prosecution aims to use Clark’s testimony to support the sex trafficking and racketeering charges against Combs, both of which carry a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

In addition to the kidnapping incident, Clark detailed other instances where she felt threatened by Combs. She described being forced to undergo a week of lie detector tests after some of Combs’s jewelry went missing, fearing she would be “thrown in the East River” if she failed.

Clark also recounted an incident where Combs pushed her out of his Miami home after learning she expressed dissatisfaction with her job. She even revealed that on her first day of employment, Combs threatened her in Central Park upon discovering she had previously worked for his rival, Suge Knight.
