Nashville – Reality TV star Todd Chrisley, recently released from prison, held a press conference in Nashville on Friday, sharing his experiences and expressing gratitude for his family’s support. Chrisley, known for “Chrisley Knows Best,” served time for tax evasion and bank fraud.
Speaking to the media for the first time since his conviction in 2022, Chrisley joked about his appearance, attributing it to a “BOP glow” acquired during his incarceration. He described a routine of reading, exercise, and spiritual reflection, crediting his faith and communication with his family for helping him through his time in prison. Daily calls with his children, Savannah, Chase, and Grayson, and emails with his wife, Julie, provided a vital connection.
Chrisley expressed a sense of disbelief upon his return home, emphasizing the joy of being reunited with his family. He spoke about the simple pleasures of sharing meals and prayers together, underscoring the strength of their bond.
Chrisley and his wife, Julie, were convicted of defrauding banks of over $30 million and tax evasion. They received sentences of 12 and 7 years, respectively, which were later reduced.
Both were released on Wednesday, May 28th. Todd from a Pensacola, Florida, facility, and Julie from the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Their daughter, Savannah, who was present at the Pensacola facility awaiting her father’s release, spoke emotionally about the ordeal and expressed gratitude for former President Trump’s pardon, which facilitated their release. She also voiced support for other inmates, stating, “I’m literally fighting for every man that has been left behind here.”
Following their reunion, Savannah shared a photo of her parents together on social media with the caption, “Reunited and it feels so good.”
