Get ready for some sizzling rivalries and kitchen showdowns! Food Network’s Chef Grudge Match, a revamped version of Superchef Grudge Match, is hitting the screens this summer. Stepping into the ring as host is none other than boxing legend Laila Ali, daughter of the iconic Muhammad Ali.
The show promises intense culinary battles between chefs with long-standing feuds, all vying for a $10,000 prize. Ali, no stranger to the spotlight, brings her competitive spirit to the arena, overseeing the action as judges decide the victor of each round.
While the original series, hosted by Darnell Ferguson, was put on hold, Chef Grudge Match is ready to reignite the flames.
Among the first contenders are Food Network personalities Gabe Bertaccini and Damaris Phillips. The initial matchups include:
- Gabe Bertaccini vs. Tyler Romine: A 15-year feud ignited when Romine abruptly left Bertaccini’s restaurant.
- Taylor Frankel vs. Maria Busato: A rivalry born from a sous chef turned competitor in the same small town.
- Damaris Phillips vs. Coby Ming: These co-chefs are battling for bragging rights – and a spot on their menu – for their fried chicken recipe.
A premiere date for Chef Grudge Match has yet to be announced.
