Travis Kelce Celebrates Taylor Swift Regaining Ownership of Master Recordings
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce recently expressed his excitement over girlfriend Taylor Swift’s acquisition of her master recordings. During an episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce, the Kelce brothers welcomed basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal.
As O’Neal’s appearance wrapped up, he played Swift’s hit “I Knew You Were Trouble” on his phone, prompting Kelce to exclaim, “Shoutout to Tay-Tay! Just got that song back, too…finally hers.”
The podcast also touched on O’Neal’s DJ career. Travis Kelce expressed interest in learning from O’Neal, leading to a playful exchange about Kelce potentially opening for Swift. O’Neal envisioned Kelce “hyping up the crowd” for ten minutes before Swift takes the stage, a prospect Kelce enthusiastically embraced.
O’Neal also revealed that Jason Kelce had facilitated a meeting between him and Swift at Super Bowl LVIII. Travis Kelce jokingly referred to that Super Bowl as “the one I like to remember,” a likely nod to the Chiefs’ subsequent loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
Swift formally announced the acquisition of her master recordings last week, describing it as a dream come true and emphasizing that her entire life’s work now belongs to her.
