Country music star Jelly Roll continues to inspire fans on his weight loss journey. The “Son of a Sinner” singer, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, recently participated in the “2 Bears 5K,” a celebrity-run race organized by comedians Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura as part of the Netflix Is A Joke comedy special.

The untimed race, held on Tuesday, May 6th, provided a fun, casual atmosphere for participants. For Jelly Roll, it marked another milestone in his impressive health transformation.

He told the crowd he weighed in at 340 pounds for the event, and set a goal to lose another hundred pounds and complete the race in 35 minutes next year. He even joked about showing off his progress by taking his shirt off on stage at the finish line.

Jelly Roll’s commitment to health has been well-documented. He previously revealed on the Pat McAfee podcast that he began his journey at over 500 pounds, and has since lost nearly 200. In a later interview with Jimmy Kimmel, he shared that he was “approaching the 200-pound mark.”

The singer and father of two has big plans for when he reaches his next weight loss milestone, including skydiving with his wife, Bunnie XO, and trying his hand at bull riding. Fans have been overwhelmingly supportive of his journey, flooding social media with encouragement after photos and videos of him at the 5K surfaced.

Comments ranged from “You’re looking great!” and “You go, Jelly,” to heartfelt messages like “Proud of you, Jason.

Such an inspiration.” As Jelly Roll continues his journey, his fans eagerly anticipate his future accomplishments, both on and off the stage.
