Country music star Lorrie Morgan returned to the stage just days after the death of her husband, Randy White. White, 72, passed away from cancer on June 1st. Morgan shared the news with fans on social media, expressing her profound grief.
Despite the loss, Morgan honored her scheduled performance at the Mountain Arts Center on Friday, June 6th. She was joined by her son, Jesse Keith Whitley, offering a poignant performance that resonated with fans. The date also marked the 41st anniversary of Morgan’s induction into the Grand Ole Opry.
Morgan continued her commitments over the weekend, appearing at CMA Fest 2025 in Nashville on Saturday, June 7th. She performed at the Ryman Auditorium as part of the Opry 100 at the Ryman series, sharing the stage with other notable country artists including Mandy Barnett, John Berry, T. Graham Brown, Dailey & Vincent, Jake Hoot, and Don Schlitz.
The recent loss is another heartbreaking chapter in Morgan’s life. Her first husband, country star Keith Whitley, tragically died in 1989.
