Beloved character actor Hector Elizondo, a familiar face from “Pretty Woman” and “The Last Man Standing,” was recently spotted out and about in Los Angeles, a rare public appearance for the Emmy winner. The 88-year-old actor, looking comfortable in a green long-sleeved shirt and gray sweatpants, topped off his look with a baseball cap.
While Elizondo has largely remained out of the public eye, his career spans decades and boasts over 160 acting credits. From “Nothing in Common” to “Frankie and Johnny,” his work has resonated with audiences for generations.
His portrayal of “God” in the 1975 play “Steambath” garnered him critical acclaim and an Obie Award. Many also fondly remember him as Joe, the head of security for the Queen of Genovia, in the “Princess Diaries” films.
Fans of the franchise will be pleased to know that a third installment is reportedly in development. While details remain scarce, Anne Hathaway is confirmed to return.
Elizondo has expressed enthusiasm for reprising his role, stating in a previous interview his eagerness to return to Genovia. While his involvement isn’t yet confirmed, it seems he’s ready to don Joe’s uniform once more.
