Doctor Claims Supplements Part of “Biological Age Reversal”

A London doctor says he’s shaved 17 years off his “biological age,” and he credits supplements as part of his success. Dr.

Mohammed Enayat, founder of the Hum2n longevity clinic, told Business Insider that tests taken 18 months ago pegged his biological age at 24, though he was chronologically 41. While there’s no standardized way to measure biological age, Enayat used GlycanAge and TruAge PACE, tests which measure inflammation and epigenetics.

Enayat has access to cutting-edge anti-aging treatments at his clinic, but he emphasizes that simple supplements play a key role in his routine. He uses wearable tech, like an Oura ring and Whoop strap, and undergoes regular blood, urine, and microbiome tests to closely monitor his health.

Based on the results, he adjusts his routine, including his supplement regimen. However, he consistently takes what he considers his “core” supplements: B complex with folate, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids.

He stresses that supplements are just one piece of the puzzle. “While I believe these supplements have supported my biological age reversal,” Enayat explained, “I credit them as one component in a much broader framework.” Dietitians generally recommend obtaining nutrients primarily from food, reserving supplements for addressing deficiencies or dietary restrictions.

Enayat takes B complex and folate to manage a genetic defect that elevates his homocysteine levels, a marker of inflammation linked to increased risks of blood clots, heart attack, and stroke. He also takes magnesium bisglycinate to address low magnesium levels, reporting it helps with muscle aches and sleep.

Finally, he supplements with omega-3 fatty acids, which he says he has naturally low levels of. While the benefits of omega-3s from food sources like fish are well-established, the effectiveness of supplements is still under investigation, though some studies suggest potential anti-aging benefits.
