Pop star Justin Bieber opened up to fans on social media about his personal struggles with anger, just a day after Father’s Day. In a candid Instagram post on June 16th, the 31-year-old singer admitted to feeling “broken” and expressed frustration with the pressure to constantly “fix” himself.
“People keep telling me to heal,” Bieber wrote. “Don’t you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already?”
He acknowledged his anger issues and the ongoing work he’s done to address them, adding, “I tried to do the work my whole life to be like the people who told me I needed to be fixed like them. And it just keeps making me more tired and angry.”
Bieber shared that his faith continues to motivate him, stating, “Jesus is the only person who keeps me wanting to make my life about others.” He concluded his post by asking fans, “honestly I’m exhausted with learning about myself lately aren’t you?” The post was accompanied by a middle finger emoji, a symbol he also used on numerous other posts shared on Father’s Day, June 15th.
Those Father’s Day posts included glimpses into Bieber’s family life, featuring photos of his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their son, Jack. Some snapshots captured the couple playing piano together, while others showcased more personal moments, like a close-up of Jack’s hand wearing a bracelet. Bieber’s initial Father’s Day post included a picture of himself and a rather strong declaration about his new role as a dad.
The Biebers welcomed their first child, Jack Blues Bieber, in August, following a pregnancy announcement in May 2024. Since then, the singer has occasionally shared photos of his life as a father, including some wintery snapshots of the family enjoying time in the snow.
