Protests Continue Outside Dodger Stadium Over ICE Presence
Tensions remain high in Los Angeles as protests continue outside Dodger Stadium. Demonstrators gathered again on Saturday, June 21, 2025, before the Dodgers game against the Washington Nationals, carrying signs protesting ICE and the Trump administration. This follows earlier protests sparked by the reported presence of law enforcement vehicles at the stadium.
The situation began on Thursday when vehicles, initially believed to be from ICE, were spotted at the stadium. This prompted immediate protests.
However, both ICE and the Dodgers denied ICE’s presence at the stadium. ICE stated unequivocally on social media that they were never there, while the Dodgers confirmed that they had denied ICE agents’ request to access the parking lots.
Subsequently, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) clarified that CBP vehicles were briefly in the stadium parking lot on unrelated business.
Amidst the ongoing controversy, the Dodgers announced a $1 million pledge to provide financial assistance to families affected by ICE arrests in the region. Team President and CEO Stan Kasten emphasized the Dodgers’ commitment to supporting the Los Angeles community.
The Dodgers declined to comment on the most recent protests.
