Bodybuilding Icon Ronnie Coleman Hospitalized

Legendary bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman is currently hospitalized with a serious medical condition. His family released a statement on Monday assuring fans that the eight-time Mr.

Olympia winner is receiving expert care and demonstrating his characteristic strength and resilience. While the family has not disclosed the nature of the medical issue, they have requested privacy and respect during this time.

They emphasized their commitment to keeping the public informed through official channels as Coleman recovers.

Prior to the family’s announcement, Coleman himself posted on social media that a medical emergency would prevent him from attending a scheduled event in the United Kingdom. He reassured fans that he was receiving excellent care and would return stronger than ever.

Coleman, 61, retired from professional bodybuilding in 2007. He shares the record for most Mr.

Olympia titles (eight) and boasts an impressive 26 International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) titles. He was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2016 and received the Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021.

His career was also the subject of the 2018 Netflix documentary “Ronnie Coleman: The King.”
