Birmingham, England — While Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s “Back to the Beginning” farewell concert draws massive attention, another Birmingham music icon, Jeff Lynne’s ELO, is also saying goodbye to the city with a series of final performances.

ELO will play the Utilita Arena on July 4 and 5, the first date coinciding with Osbourne and Sabbath’s Hyde Park festival in London. Formed in 1970 by Lynne, Roy Wood, and Bev Bevan, the band achieved widespread fame with ’70s hits like “Evil Woman,” “Livin’ Thing,” “Telephone Line,” and “Don’t Bring Me Down.”

The “Over and Out Tour” continues after the Birmingham shows, with performances at Manchester’s Co-op Live on July 9 and 10, culminating in a final show at London’s Hyde Park on July 13.

Fans expressed excitement on social media, with one hoping to hear “End of the Line,” Lynne’s collaboration with the Traveling Wilburys. The official Traveling Wilburys account even responded with applause emojis. Other fans shared lyrics and anticipation for the upcoming shows, with one even planning a trip from Australia.
