Fans Boo Singer at Ozzy Osbourne’s Last Show

Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance with Black Sabbath at his “Back to the Beginning” festival featured a star-studded lineup, but not all of the guest appearances were met with open arms. The festival, a tribute to Osbourne’s legendary career, brought together some of the biggest names in metal and rock for a series of supergroup performances.

One of the first groups featured Lzzy Hale, frontwoman for Halestorm, alongside members of Faith No More (Mike Bordin), Megadeth (David Ellefson), and Ozzy’s longtime guitarist Jake E. Lee. While the group’s performance of Ozzy’s “The Ultimate Sin” was generally well-received, the appearance of Disturbed frontman David Draiman was met with a chorus of boos.

Draiman’s recent outspoken criticism of a Glastonbury performance by the band Bob Vylan, who chanted “death to the IDF,” appears to have sparked the negative reaction. Draiman took to social media to condemn the chant, calling it an incitement to hatred and violence.

Despite the audience’s disapproval, Draiman and the supergroup continued their performance, playing Ozzy’s 1986 hit “Shot in the Dark.” While some audience members continued to boo, others clapped along to the music.
