“Jeopardy!” Host Ken Jennings Becomes the Subject of a Category on His Own Show
Ken Jennings, the “Jeopardy!” champion-turned-host, recently found himself the subject of a category on the show. The category, titled “Ken Jennings: International Nerd of Mystery,” offered clues related to Jennings’ eclectic interests.
Contestant Andrew dominated the category, correctly answering questions referencing everything from Battlestar Galactica and Armani to Marc Chagall and Boston Dynamics. Jennings, clearly amused, quipped, “I’m going to learn so much about myself.”
One clue stumped Andrew: “Ah, an 1869 bottle from this 2-name chateau in Paullac, France! It’s worth six figures and will certainly be favored during our D&D game.”
After Andrew failed to respond, Jennings jokingly retorted, “You’re not invited now.” The answer was Chateau Lafite Rothschild.
Undeterred, Andrew rebounded to correctly answer the final clue in the category, pertaining to the 2023 G7 summit in Hiroshima and Comic-Con.
Fans online praised Andrew’s performance. One YouTube commenter joked that they “would have had to have been in his house for the last 2 years just to deal with one of those questions.” Another simply declared, “A Ken category, AMAZING.”
