Denise Richards Seeks Protection from Estranged Husband

Additional Coverage:

Actress Denise Richards has obtained a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, alleging a history of domestic violence.

In court documents, Richards, 54, detailed numerous instances of alleged abuse. She claimed Phypers, 49, frequently choked her, squeezed her head and arms, slapped her face, slammed her head into objects, and threatened to kill her.

Richards also alleges Phypers knelt on her back, restricting her breathing to the point she feared for her life. She further stated he hacked into her electronic devices and downloaded her text messages.

Richards claims to have suffered at least three concussions due to Phypers’s actions.

Richards stated she delayed reporting the alleged abuse due to fear for her safety and Phypers’s threats of suicide and further violence if she went to the authorities. She claims the most recent assaults occurred between July 4 and 14, and that she feared for her life.

This restraining order comes after Phypers filed for divorce earlier this month, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple wed in 2018 and have no children together.

Richards has three daughters from previous relationships. Phypers is seeking spousal support from Richards, detailing her substantial income from OnlyFans, reality television, and brand deals, while claiming he has been without income for the past year.

He also provided a breakdown of the couple’s significant monthly expenses.
