Blake Lively Scores Partial Win in Legal Battle Against Justin Baldoni

Manhattan, NY – Actress Blake Lively has achieved a partial victory in her ongoing legal dispute with “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni. A judge ruled on Thursday that Lively must disclose three years of her business income records to Baldoni’s legal team. However, the judge also blocked Baldoni’s request for a full disclosure of Lively’s net worth.

This decision marks the latest development in the lawsuit Lively filed in December 2024, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment on set and subsequently orchestrating a smear campaign against her. Lively is seeking financial compensation for lost wages and emotional distress.

The judge deemed Lively’s business income records relevant to the case, specifically addressing her claims of reputational damage impacting the sales of her haircare line, Blake Brown, and her beverage company, Betty Buzz. Lively asserted that Baldoni’s alleged actions caused sales to plummet between 56% and 78%. The judge ordered the release of these records by July 25th.

While Lively must disclose her business financials, the judge sided with the actress in denying Baldoni access to her net worth documentation. Lively’s legal team argued that such information, potentially encompassing property values, savings, and investments, was irrelevant to the case. The judge concurred, stating that Lively could not be compelled to produce personal financial records unrelated to alleged income loss resulting from Baldoni’s actions.

This legal battle shows no signs of abating. Lively is scheduled for a deposition on July 31st, and both legal teams are due back in court for a status conference on October 21st.

A trial date has yet to be determined, but is anticipated for sometime in 2026. In a previous ruling, Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Lively was dismissed.
