Jason Momoa brought ohana and Hollywood glamour to the “Chief of War” premiere in Ko Olina, Hawaii on Friday, July 18, 2025. The “Aquaman” star, his two children, and his girlfriend, actress Adria Arjona, all graced the red carpet for the Apple TV+ miniseries.
Momoa, his 16-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf, and 17-year-old daughter Lola, showcased what appeared to be traditional tribal attire. Momoa looked imposing in a fur cape, bone necklace, and carrying bone daggers.
His son sported a similar cape and a unique tooth necklace, while Lola wore a brown cutout dress with a matching capelet. Arjona, in a flowing burnt orange ruffled dress, held hands with Momoa, the couple appearing happy and very much in love.
The miniseries, co-created by Momoa and Thomas Paʻa Sibbett, tells the story of a warrior’s quest to unite the four kingdoms of Hawai’i before Western colonization at the turn of the 19th century. For Momoa, who is of Native Hawaiian descent, the project holds deep personal significance.
He shared with local news outlet KHON, “This is playing my ancestors… This is, if I fail, I’m not coming home.
I mean, it’s everything, it’s my soul, it’s my DNA.”
Momoa’s children are from his previous marriage to actress Lisa Bonet. Though the couple divorced in 2024, they remain close. Momoa has publicly demonstrated his support for Bonet and her daughter, Zoë Kravitz, on several occasions.
“Chief of War” premieres on Apple TV+ on August 1.
