- Coldplay kiss cam scandal: CEO’s wife ‘hides’ in $2.4m mansion far from marital home (themirror.com)
Kennebunk, Maine—While former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron navigates the fallout of a very public indiscretion, his wife, Megan Byron, is reportedly seeking refuge at the couple’s $2.4 million Maine mansion. Located in Kennebunk, the property offers a significant 106-mile buffer from the family’s primary residence in Northborough, Massachusetts.
The scandal erupted last week after Mr. Byron and Astronomer’s Head of HR, Kristin Cabot, were captured on the kiss cam at a Coldplay concert in Boston.
The now-viral video shows the pair embracing before quickly separating once they realized they were on the jumbotron. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin even commented on the situation, jokingly questioning whether the two were having an affair or simply shy.
Subsequent footage has reportedly emerged showing the two kissing before their kiss cam appearance.
In the wake of the incident, Mr. Byron has resigned from his position at Astronomer.
Mrs. Byron, meanwhile, has remained silent but has noticeably reverted to her maiden name, Kerrigan, on Facebook and removed photos of her husband from her profile.
Sources say she is spending time with loved ones, including her older sister, Maura, at the Kennebunk estate.
Astronomer placed both Mr. Byron and Ms.
Cabot on administrative leave following the incident. The company has since accepted Mr.
Byron’s resignation and announced a search for a new CEO. Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy will serve as interim CEO.
Ironically, Mr. Byron had publicly praised Ms.
Cabot’s “exceptional leadership” just nine months prior when she joined the company.
