Sharon Osbourne has broken her silence following the death of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, with a brief, heartfelt message.

Responding to an Instagram tribute from her close friend and former The Talk co-host Sara Gilbert, Osbourne simply wrote, “Sara, he loved you! Always Sharon.” Gilbert had posted a photo of herself and Ozzy laughing together during his 2015 appearance on the show.

The exchange between the two friends, who share a long history both on and off-screen, was met with an outpouring of condolences from fans.

Osbourne and Gilbert’s friendship extended beyond The Talk. In 2017, Gilbert donned an Ozzy costume for a lip sync performance of “Crazy Train.” The Osbournes later returned the favor with a cameo on Gilbert’s sitcom, The Conners, in 2020, sharing a playful scene with the Conner family.

Ozzy Osbourne, renowned for his iconic music career with Black Sabbath and as a solo artist, passed away on July 22. His family confirmed the news in a statement, requesting privacy. Just two weeks prior, Osbourne performed his emotional farewell concert, “Back to the Beginning,” in his hometown of Birmingham, England.
