South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem’s wedding photos recently resurfaced online, surprising many with her youthful appearance and different hairstyle. The photos, shared by Noem herself on Instagram last year to celebrate her 32nd anniversary with husband Byron Noem, show the governor as a blonde with curly hair, a stark contrast to her current long, brown locks.
The couple, who married in May 1992, have three children. While Governor Noem has never publicly addressed speculation about plastic surgery, some observers, including plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Niccole, believe she may have undergone procedures such as a neck lift, mini facelift, and skin rejuvenation treatments.
Byron Noem, also a South Dakota native, maintains a lower profile than his wife. He grew up on a farm, earned a degree from Northern State University, and runs a crop insurance agency.
Governor Noem has often credited her husband with providing grounding support throughout her political career. The couple’s three children, Kassidy, Kennedy, and Booker, largely remain out of the public eye.
Recently, Governor Noem has faced criticism for comments she made following a judge’s ruling against her department regarding ICE arrest procedures. She strongly disagreed with Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong’s decision that ICE agents cannot base arrests solely on race or native language, calling the judge an “idiot” and vowing to appeal the ruling.
