Tesla’s New Diner: A Mixed Bag of Reviews
HOLLYWOOD – Elon Musk’s highly anticipated Tesla Diner, a futuristic charging station and eatery rolled into one, has officially opened in Los Angeles, and the reviews are as diverse as the menu. While some customers rave about the unique experience, others haven’t been quite as impressed.
The diner boasts a space-age aesthetic, complete with robot servers and ordering via Tesla touchscreens. Eighty Superchargers ensure drivers can power up their vehicles while enjoying a meal.
However, one Yelp reviewer, Steve F., didn’t mince words, calling the decor a “fever dream” of a “Back to the Future” obsessed teenager. While he found the prices reasonable, he slammed the food as “DISGUSTING,” ultimately declaring the diner an “abject failure.”
Despite this harsh critique, many others have shared more positive experiences. One Reddit user, while admitting the robot popcorn service was “lackluster” and the Wi-Fi unreliable, still described the diner as “cool and unique,” albeit a “once is enough” type of destination.
Another reviewer, Leeza D. from Irvine, enthusiastically recounted her “Tesla Diner Day,” despite a 3.5-hour wait. She praised the engineer-designed burger and raved about the cookie and candied bacon, while advising against the breakfast tacos and cinnamon roll.
It seems the Tesla Diner, much like Musk’s other ventures, is proving to be a divisive topic. Whether it becomes a lasting success or a quirky footnote in LA’s dining scene remains to be seen.
