Manson at Ozzy’s Funeral After Concert Backlash

Additional Coverage:

Controversial musician Marilyn Manson attended Ozzy Osbourne’s private funeral.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, was accompanied by his wife, photographer Lindsay Usich, at the service held in Buckinghamshire, UK on Wednesday, July 30th. The heavy metal icon passed away on July 22nd at the age of 76. Other notable figures present at the intimate gathering included Ozzy’s longtime lead guitarist Zakk Wylde and Slipknot frontman Rob Zombie.

Manson’s presence at the funeral follows a recent video appearance he made at Ozzy’s farewell concert, “Back to the Beginning,” at Villa Park in Birmingham, England on July 5th. The video message, played between sets by bands such as Metallica and Alice in Chains, featured Manson expressing his gratitude for having performed with Black Sabbath and offering congratulations to Osbourne.

However, Manson’s virtual appearance at the concert reportedly drew boos from the crowd and sparked negative reactions on social media. The backlash stems from the sexual assault allegations made against him by several women, including actress Evan Rachel Wood and Esmé Bianco.

While the Los Angeles County District Attorney declined to file criminal charges against Manson in January due to the statute of limitations and insufficient evidence, the allegations continue to fuel public criticism. Manson has consistently denied the accusations and maintains his innocence.
