Spooky stuff! Comedian Matt Rife, along with YouTuber pal Elton Castee, are the new caretakers of the late paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren’s infamous occult collection. That’s right, the duo now watches over the Annabelle doll (yes, that one) and hundreds of other creepy artifacts.
Rife, a self-proclaimed horror buff, announced the news on TikTok, excitedly sharing his role as “legal guardian” of the collection, which includes the supposedly demonically possessed Raggedy Ann doll that inspired the Annabelle and Conjuring movies. He and Castee plan to reopen the Warrens’ Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, which has been closed since 2019, and even offer overnight stays at the Warrens’ former home. Talk about a sleepover!
While they don’t own the collection outright, the pair will serve as caretakers for at least the next five years. Rife acknowledged that his new hobby might be a bit unusual, joking that stamp collecting might be a safer pastime.
The announcement comes just months after the sudden death of Annabelle’s handler during a tour, adding another eerie chapter to the doll’s already unsettling history. Fans of the paranormal, and the Conjuring universe, can look forward to the next installment, The Conjuring: Last Rites, hitting theaters in September 2025.
