Royal Rumble? Prince Harry Denies Physical Altercation with Prince Andrew
A spokesperson for Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has denied claims of a physical fight between the prince and his uncle, Prince Andrew. The denial comes after an excerpt from an upcoming book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, alleged a heated argument and a physical altercation between the two royals back in 2013.
The book claims the argument, which allegedly resulted in Prince Andrew getting a bloody nose, stemmed from comments Andrew made about Harry’s then-girlfriend, Meghan Markle. The book further alleges that Andrew called Markle an “opportunist” and predicted her marriage to Harry wouldn’t last.
A spokesperson for Prince Harry firmly stated that no such fight occurred and that Prince Andrew never made those remarks.
This news comes amidst ongoing tensions between Prince Harry and other senior members of the Royal Family, including his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William. The rift deepened after Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in 2020 and relocated to California. The release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, earlier this year further strained these relationships.
The new book also resurfaces public interest in Prince Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has faced accusations of sexual abuse and sex trafficking, and settled a lawsuit with accuser Virginia Giuffre in 2021.
