Jack Osbourne recently opened up about his strained relationship with his older sister, Aimee, revealing they are “not close at all.” The topic arose during a discussion on the Disrespectfully podcast about Aimee’s decision to abstain from the family’s hit MTV reality show, The Osbournes.
While Jack and sister Kelly Osbourne rose to fame on the show, Aimee opted to stay out of the spotlight. Jack explained that Aimee, a musician, wanted to cultivate a more mysterious and alternative image, akin to artists like Fiona Apple and Mazzy Star.
He believes she saw the reality show as “low-hanging fruit” and didn’t want to appear to be “riding coat-tails.” Even after the show’s success, Aimee remained firm in her decision, prioritizing privacy over potential fame.
Jack admitted he’s never directly asked Aimee if she regrets skipping the show, citing their distant relationship. However, he speculated that she might have some level of regret, considering how differently her life could have turned out.
