Reality TV star Kody Brown of Sister Wives fame is trading plural marriage drama for military-style challenges. Brown joins the season 4 cast of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, premiering September 25th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The 18-person cast, announced Wednesday, features a mix of reality TV personalities, athletes, and actors, including Eva Marcille, Teresa Giudice, Gia Giudice, Brittany Cartwright, Eric Decker, Jessie James Decker, Andrew East, Shawn Johnson East, and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. Perhaps the most controversial casting choice is former Empire actor Jussie Smollett.
Special Forces puts celebrities through grueling challenges inspired by real Special Forces training, like leaping from helicopters and scaling bridges. This marks Brown’s first foray into reality TV outside of Sister Wives, the TLC show that has chronicled his life with four wives and 18 children since 2010.
While Sister Wives recently concluded its nineteenth season in June, rumors of a filmed twentieth season are circulating, though TLC has yet to confirm.
