- Illegal alien accused of causing fatal semi truck crash that killed 3 people: ‘Shocking and criminal’ (foxnews.com)
Fort Pierce, FL—A tragic accident on the Florida Turnpike has claimed the lives of three people and led to the arrest of a commercial truck driver on vehicular homicide charges. Harjinder Singh, who authorities say entered the U.S. illegally, allegedly attempted an illegal U-turn, causing his trailer to jackknife and collide with a minivan. All three occupants of the minivan perished.
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) confirmed the arrest and charges. White House Spokeswoman Abigail Jackson called the incident a “devastating tragedy,” and criticized policies that allow undocumented immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses. Singh reportedly obtained his commercial driver’s license in California, a state that permits residents to obtain licenses regardless of immigration status.
Singh is also facing immigration violations and an ICE detainer has been issued. FLHSMV Executive Director Dave Kerner expressed shock and outrage at the driver’s alleged recklessness, highlighting the profound impact of this loss on the victims’ loved ones. The incident is currently under investigation.
