Jamie Lee Curtis has playfully compared her latest look to rock legend Pat Benatar. The 66-year-old actress took to Instagram on Sunday to share side-by-side photos of herself and the 72-year-old singer, highlighting their strikingly similar hairstyles.
Both sported chic gray, shoulder-length waves with bangs, complemented by silver jewelry. Curtis added aviator glasses to complete her look.
The actress joked that her Freaky Friday 2 character, Tess, might be a Benatar fan, hinting that the singer’s style inspired Tess’s look in the recently released sequel. Curtis was pictured in costume at a Freakier Friday Tess lookalike screening at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. She donned the character’s signature asymmetrical denim top, wide-leg pants, and thick black belt, along with the now-famous hairstyle and glasses.
The Freaky Friday sequel, released 22 years after the original, sees Curtis and Lindsay Lohan reprise their roles as the body-swapping mother-daughter duo, Tess and Anna Coleman. Original cast members Chad Michael Murray and Mark Harmon also returned.
The sequel introduces new characters played by Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, and Manny Jacinto. Curtis has been credited with driving the sequel’s development, responding to years of fan requests.
She had previously stated a sequel wouldn’t be possible until Lohan was old enough to have a teenage child, a moment that finally arrived, paving the way for Freaky Friday 2.
