Shocking new details have emerged in the ongoing search for Travis Decker, the prime suspect in the murders of his three young daughters. Decker has been on the run for nearly three months.
Nine-year-old Paityn, eight-year-old Evelyn, and five-year-old Olivia Decker were found deceased near the Rock Island Campground in Chelan County, Washington on June 2nd. They had been on a planned visit with their father.
Newly released evidence paints a grim picture of the crime scene. Each girl was found with multiple plastic bags secured over their heads with zip ties.
According to authorities, two of the girls had two bags each, while the third had three. Several additional cable ties were found scattered near the bodies.
DNA analysis from the Washington State Crime Lab confirmed a match between Travis Decker’s DNA and samples taken from both the plastic bags and the zip ties, solidifying his status as the sole suspect. The girls’ DNA was also found on the bags. Autopsy reports previously revealed the cause of death as suffocation.
This latest DNA evidence adds to the mounting case against Decker, which includes a match between his DNA and blood handprints found on his vehicle, discovered near the girls’ bodies.
Despite the accumulating evidence, Decker’s whereabouts remain unknown. Authorities have stated they have no evidence to suggest whether he is alive or dead.
The investigation continues, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward. The search for Decker remains a top priority.
