Beloved actress Linda Hunt, best known for her role as Hetty Lange on NCIS: Los Angeles, was recently seen in a rare public outing in Los Angeles. The 80-year-old actress was photographed with her wife, Karen Kline, and another companion who assisted Hunt as they walked.
Hunt sported a casual look with a whimsical dog-themed T-shirt, gray jeans, and black sneakers. Kline was also casually dressed in a striped T-shirt and jeans. The couple has been together since 1978 and married in 2008.
Hunt played the eccentric and brilliant operations manager Hetty Lange on NCIS: Los Angeles from its premiere in 2009 through season 12. Her appearances became less frequent after that due to injuries sustained in a 2018 car accident, though she continued to have a presence on the show until its conclusion in 2023. At the time of the accident, Hunt released a statement expressing her gratitude for fan support and her intention to return to the series.
In addition to her iconic NCIS role, Hunt has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in film and television. She won an Academy Award for her performance in the 1982 film The Year of Living Dangerously and has appeared in other notable films such as Dune, Pocahontas, Kindergarten Cop, and Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Hunt, who was born with hypopituitary dwarfism, has spoken about how seeing a Broadway production of Peter Pan ignited her passion for acting. She was drawn to the larger-than-life aspect of the performance, something she longed for in her own life. In a 2013 interview, she shared that acting allowed her to “pretend to be anything.”
