McDonald’s Revives “Extra Value Meals” to Attract Budget-Conscious Customers

McDonald’s is bringing back its Extra Value Meals, aiming to provide greater value for budget-conscious customers. The popular meal bundles, absent from menus since 2019, will offer eight different combinations at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each meal will be priced 15% lower than purchasing the items individually.

The returning Extra Value Meals will feature classic favorites such as the Big Mac, the 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, and the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, as well as breakfast options like the Sausage McMuffin with Egg and the Egg McMuffin.

To celebrate the return of the Extra Value Meals, McDonald’s is offering even steeper discounts initially, including a $5 Sausage McMuffin with Egg meal and an $8 Big Mac meal. Additional promotional offers are planned for November.

This move follows recent discussions between McDonald’s and its U.S. franchisees about maintaining affordable pricing on combo meals. According to McDonald’s owner and operator Danielle Marasco, the return of the Extra Value Meals underscores the company’s commitment to offering budget-friendly options.

This isn’t the first time McDonald’s has focused on value this year. In January, the company introduced a “McValue” menu with a “Buy One, Add One for $1” deal and launched app-exclusive offers like free medium fries with a $1 purchase every Friday. These initiatives aim to enhance the chain’s value proposition and attract customers seeking affordable dining options.
