Jack Osbourne Defends Late Father Ozzy

Additional Coverage:

The Osbourne family continues to defend Ozzy Osbourne’s legacy following insensitive remarks from other public figures. Son Jack Osbourne fired back at Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters after Waters made disparaging comments about the late rock star in a recent interview.

Waters dismissed Osbourne’s career, calling him an “idiot” who was “all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense.” He also expressed his lack of interest in Black Sabbath.

Jack Osbourne responded on social media, using strong language to condemn Waters’ comments and defend his father’s memory.

This isn’t the first time the Osbourne family has had to defend Ozzy’s legacy since his passing in July. Daughter Kelly Osbourne recently criticized WWE star Becky Lynch for trashing Birmingham, Osbourne’s hometown.

During a WWE broadcast, Lynch joked that the “only good thing that came out of [Birmingham] died a month ago,” referring to Osbourne. Kelly called Lynch’s comments “disrespectful” and criticized the WWE for allowing them.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22nd at the age of 76 from cardiac arrest and other health complications, including Parkinson’s disease. His death certificate also lists acute myocardial infarction and coronary artery disease as contributing factors.

A public procession was held in Birmingham to honor the Black Sabbath frontman. Osbourne’s final concert took place in his beloved Birmingham on July 5th, featuring performances by numerous rock legends.
