Collin Gosselin, son of reality TV stars Jon and Kate Gosselin, announced he’s penning a memoir. The 21-year-old shared the news on social media, stating that he’d finalized details with his team and drafting would begin soon.
While Collin’s early life in the spotlight on the family’s reality show, Jon and Kate Plus 8, will likely be touched upon, the memoir is expected to focus on his strained relationship with his mother, Kate, and several of his siblings.
Collin’s relationship with his mother has been publicly fraught. He has previously spoken out about alleged abuse he suffered at her hands, and his subsequent placement in a facility for children with special needs.
While Kate has maintained she acted in her son’s best interest, Collin now resides with his father, Jon, and is estranged from his mother and some of his siblings. His sister, Hannah, also lives with Jon, but maintains contact with the rest of the family.
This complex family dynamic, and Collin’s perspective on it, will undoubtedly form the core of his forthcoming book.
