Drug Use So Extreme Even Cartels Cut Off Sheen

Additional Coverage:

Actor Charlie Sheen opened up about his past struggles with addiction in a recent interview with Jesse Watters on “Primetime.” Sheen revealed that his drug use was so excessive that the cartel supplying him became suspicious, believing he was dealing without their permission. He explained that the cartel was surprised by the sheer volume and frequency of his orders, leading them to believe he was reselling the drugs.

Sheen also discussed his time on the hit sitcom “Two and a Half Men,” recalling when CBS sent a private jet to take him to rehab. He told Watters he declined the offer, promising then-CBS CEO Les Moonves that he would address his issues at home.

Sheen revealed this was the first time such an offer had been made to anyone during his eight years on the show. He was ultimately fired and replaced by Ashton Kutcher in 2011.

Now almost eight years sober, Sheen reflected on his decision to quit drugs, stating that it simply “stopped working.” He emphasized the importance of making the decision for himself, his children, and his family. The actor described a feeling of having exhausted all avenues of excess, with drugs losing their appeal and effect.

Sheen’s revelations coincide with the release of his memoir, “The Book of Sheen,” and the premiere of his Netflix documentary, “aka Charlie Sheen.”
